　　这日，FBI实验室内，约翰在纸上写奋笔疾书着什么。
　　
　　“What are you doing, John?（你在干嘛，约翰？）”丽莎凑了过来，问道。
　　
　　“I'm calculating when the oldest child will become the youngest *****.（我在计算最大的小孩什么时候可以变为最小的大人。）”约翰淡淡说道。
　　
　　“What? The oldest child and the youngest *****?（什么？最大的小孩和最小的大人？）”丽莎一愣，接着摸了摸约翰的头，开口道，“John's mind is truly remarkable.（约翰的脑子真的很特别哦。）”
　　
　　“Don't touch my head, Lisa!（别摸我的头，丽莎！）”约翰摇了摇头，整理起了发型。
　　
　　“John, tell me what’s this?（约翰，告诉我这是什么？）”这时，凯瑟琳走了进来，将一张纸递给了约翰。
　　
　　“Ah, it’s another my research projects.（啊，这是我的另一项研究。）”约翰接过了那张纸，开口道。
　　
　　“What are you researching, John?（你在研究什么，约翰？）”凯瑟琳不解。
　　
　　“Samsara.（轮回。）”约翰淡淡说道。
　　
　　“What? Samsara?!（什么，轮回？！）”顿时，凯瑟琳和丽莎大惊。
　　
　　“John, I really think you have an extraordinary mind. Are you researching when you will return?（约翰，我觉得你的脑子真的不一般，你在研究什么时候转世回来吗？）”说着，凯瑟琳也摸起了约翰的头发。
　　
　　“Hey, hey, hey, Catherine, don't touch my head!（哎哎哎，凯瑟琳，不要摸我的头！）”约翰有些无奈，再次整理起了自己头发。
　　
　　“OK, John, I'm going for shopping. Would you like to go with me?（好了，约翰，我要出去买东西，你一起来吗？）”只见，凯瑟琳一拍约翰的后背，开口道。
　　
　　“All right!（好！）”约翰立马回应道。
　　
　　于是，约翰和凯瑟琳来到了大街上。
　　
　　“John, was our captain always so indifferent to you?（约翰，首领对你是不是一直那么不冷不热？）”凯瑟琳忽然问道。
　　
　　“To him, I’m merely an FBI member. At the FBI, I only have a captain, and no father.（大概对他而言，我只不过是一个FBI成员。在FBI，我只有首领，没有父亲。）”约翰淡淡说道。
　　
　　“John, don't be so discouraged, let's go buy crayfish.（约翰，别那么沮丧，我们去买小龙虾。）”说着，凯瑟琳拉过了约翰的手，向前走去。
　　
　　“Hey, wait, Catherine, why did you know I like crayfish?（哎，等一下，凯瑟琳，你怎么会知道我喜欢吃小龙虾？）”约翰顿时一愣。
　　
　　“The last time I heard our captain mentioned, and he took you to the Chinese restaurant.（上次听首领说的，还是首领带你去的中餐厅。）”凯瑟琳接着说道，“John, our captain is a father with a unique status. It's not that he doesn't love you, he simply has more important matters to lead the FBI.（约翰，首领是一个有特殊身份的父亲，他不是不爱你，而是有更重要的FBI要带领。）”
　　
　　“But what about my mother? In the face of her passing, was my father too indifferent?（可我的母亲呢，面对我母亲的去世，我父亲是不是太冷淡了？）”约翰开口道。
　　
　　“OK, we're here, John. Let's buy some crayfish.（好，到了，约翰，我们买小龙虾。）”凯瑟琳忽然停了下来。
　　
　　只见，面前的一家餐馆外正用机器翻炒着小龙虾。
　　
　　“Do you prefer spicy crayfish or Thirteen Spices crayfish?（你们要香辣的还是十三香的小龙虾？）”这时，一个厨师走了出来。
　　
　　“Both. And take them back with us.（都买一些，带回去吧。）”凯瑟琳开口道。
　　
　　“OK!（好嘞！）”厨师微微一笑，盛起了小龙虾。
　　
　　“Oh, Catherine, if one day I unfortunately die in battle, do you think our captain would be sad?（哎，凯瑟琳，万一有一天我不幸战死了，你说我们的首领会不会难过？）”约翰有些心不在焉。
　　
　　忽然，周围一片黑暗，街道和凯瑟琳消失不见！
　　
　　“Catherine?! Oh, I had been dead already. Then whose dream is this?（凯瑟琳？！哦，对了，我已经不在了才是，这是在谁的梦中？）”约翰顿时一愣，回过头来，却见首领缓缓走来，于是开口道，“Ah, dad, oh, captain...（啊，爸，哦，首领……）”
　　
　　“John, call me dad. How are you, John?（约翰，叫爸。你最近还好吗，约翰？）”首领问道。
　　
　　“Oh, I’m okay, dad.（哦，挺好的，爸。）”约翰接着说道，“But dad, there's one thing I want to know: do you really not care about my mother's passing?（但是，爸，有件事我想知道，你真的不在乎我妈的离去吗？）”
　　
　　“Dad cares her, but dad is the captain of the FBI, and I can't let personal feelings sway my judgment.（在乎，但爸是FBI的首领，不可以为了一点儿女情长动摇了内心。）”首领开口道，“John, you need to do the same.（约翰，你也要做到这一点。）”
